Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting and Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll management systems and accounting principles, as well as the ability to analyze data effectively. The Accounting and Payroll Specialist will collaborate closely with the Controller/Human Resources department to maintain compliance with regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation related to payroll transactions.
- Perform month end journal entries
- Work closely with the Accounting Assistant to maintain accurate Club membership records
- Utilize payroll systems B2E for efficient processing.
- Analyze payroll data for discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure accurate employee records and compliance with labor laws.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll reports for management review.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
Requirements
- Proven experience in payroll management or a related accounting role.
- Proficiency in using payroll software B2E and Jonas Encore for accounting
- Strong knowledge of general ledger reconciliation processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with human resources practices and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A bachelors or associate degree in Accounting, or a related field is preferred. Prior relevant working experience is desired
