What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Work position at Maple Donuts?
KEY DUTIES
- Visually inspect and listen to machine and equipment to locate causes of malfunction. Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area using hand and power tools. Removes and/or replaces worn or defective parts and realigns and adjusts as required or according to service manual or preventative maintenance schedule. Must know how to start and operate machinery in order to test operation follow repair.
- Analyzes mechanical, electrical, and operational problems on equipment and plans for and implements corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and adjustments to maintain maximum output of quality and quantity.
- Reviews production schedule in order to change over equipment as well as to plan and conduct preventative maintenance when equipment is not scheduled to be in use.
- Effectively and efficiently performs job tasks on preventative maintenance schedule—performs maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment and reports finding to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
- Services electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuits, printed circuit boards and similar electronic devices.
- Communicates to supervisor about recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken or reviews the parts/supplies needed to take the corrective action.
- Posts and keeps current records (to be done daily) of equipment repair logs and all metal detector logs.
- Complies with OSHA requirements of Lock Out, Tag Out and hazardous waste procedures.
- Checks and maintains safe and efficient operations of all mechanical systems: boiler and water , refrigeration and freezers, water treatment, air compressors, production equipment, blowers, pumps and emergency lighting.
- Notifies supervisor of any potentially dangerous equipment, practices or violations or safety procedures.
- Is responsible for understanding and ensures compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices, housekeeping and sanitation standards.
- Attends all meetings, training sessions, seminars and/or classes as required by management.
- May be required to operate equipment during relief periods.
- Perform any and all other duties that may be assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader.
WORKPLACE SAFETY

2. Use proper lifting procedures to lift with legs and not back.

3. Must be willing to upgrade skills as necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
