Essential Functions:
- Execute assigned sales budgets within designated promotional and price parameters. Submit orders and support the ordering process as needed.
- Oversee all aspects of sales and execution within an assigned region including management and goal setting for broker partners, development of distribution support plans and incentives with distributor partners, conducting sales calls with assigned accounts at the distributor and operator levels, targeting pipeline accounts based on strategic and tactical plans, and securing orders by closing deals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, operators, retailers, and brokers. Profitably increase sales volume through incentive utilization.
- Identify new business opportunities to expand sales and market share. Pipeline development and cold calling are required. Participation in trade shows is required.
- Train brokers and distributors on duck products, business processes, and brand standards. Participate in broker and distributor meetings to update sales teams on programs, metrics, success stories, and keep a pulse on changes in the field.
- Manage retail merchandising plans, conduct retail field work and store checks as needed. Identify distribution voids and create corrective action plans.
- Deliver updates to management about program and call results. This includes but is not limited to weekly calls and CRM data entry.
- Complete support documentation monthly including credit memos, mileage reports, travel calendars, and credit card statements.
- Collaborate with internal partners on selling tools, strategies, and guidelines.
- Understand and utilize fact-based selling to increase market share including Circana/NPD data for food service customers and Nielsen for retail customers.
- Design and deliver formal presentations in-person and digitally.
- Be an enthusiastic, personable, and engaging brand ambassador at all times with unsurpassed product knowledge including brand positioning, functional benefits, and pricing.
- Demonstrate expertise in time management for all selling tasks and support documentation.
- Assist in executing corporate goals across all channels as needed. Perform related duties as required if trained or qualified to do.
Job Specifications:
- Requires knowledge of various selling techniques, sales distribution channels, pricing strategies, customer service, and experience within the food industry. Meat processing knowledge is especially helpful.
- Possess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and follow-through skills.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Microsoft D365 experience is helpful.
- Familiarity with SharePoint is helpful.

Knowledge and skills identified are acquired through completion of a college degree in business or marketing or equivalent experience. Work is primarily sedentary but lifting or moving of equipment up to 40 lbs. may be periodically required. The work for this position can be completed in a home office with up to 50% travel required. Incumbent must live with the geography of assigned territory.
