Maple Systems is a quality-driven leader in the industrial controls marketplace. We specialize in the manufacturing, configuration, and support of human machine interface (HMI) solution and industrial computers. We are an Employee Owned (ESOP) Company and have approximately 50 employees, located in a single facility in Everett, WA.
This position is the primary person responsible for the maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems and servers at Maple Systems. This person should be able to operate independently and triage short term and long term IT requests.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
- Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
- Administer, install, and troubleshoot operating systems
- Provide tech support for the company’s computer and network needs by documenting issues and errors, performing support, and escalating the issue as need to the appropriate resource.
- Manage internal support ticket system for the IT department’s needs.
- Record resolution information in help desk knowledge management database.
- Perform routine maintenance on servers, schedule and verify backups and help maintain an up-to-date disaster recovery plan.
- Perform software audits and maintain current records of deployed desktop systems and laptops.
- Update and maintain computer logs and software log.
- Setup new computer systems and / or peripherals.
- Assist Department Managers with new hire technology requirements including computer and phone set-up.
- Perform diagnostics with user to collect information about problem to determine source of error.
- Analyze and correct problems using documented procedures, available tools, and personal knowledge and skills.
- Support Company desktops / laptops and internal systems (in-house and off-the-shelf).
- Assist with sales support tasks including coordinating distributor mailings, preparing the conference room for meetings, and ensuring user has correct privileges and necessary software.
- Maintain copiers and log service calls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Supervisory Responsibility :
This position does not supervise others.
Education / Experience :
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and at least two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. An A Certification is preferable but not required.
Language Ability :
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Math Ability :
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

This position is in a standard office environment with desktop business equipment and frequent telephone calls. This is an in-office position, and only working remote when needed in certain circumstance. Noise level is moderate.
Schedule :
The primary schedule for this position is roughly Monday through Friday, 7-3 : 30pm. Maple Systems is open between 6am-4 : 30pm Monday through Friday so start / end times can be discussed. Shifting your hours is acceptable for projects that require it but we would like this person to be available throughout the day, at the office, as things pop up as often as possible.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time. Employee must be able to work in close contact with small and large groups. Frequent hearing and talking is required. The employee must constantly reach with hands and fingers. Extensive keyboard typing is required. Lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.
