Overview: As a Licensed Practical Nurse with Maplewood Senior Living, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of seniors in our care. We are seeking an experienced LPN to join our team and provide exceptional care and support to our residents.
Job Summary: The LPN will be responsible for administering medications, providing direct care and service to residents, teaching and wellness counseling, health promotion, and supporting residents and families. The ideal candidate will have experience working with older adults and be able to perform tasks that may be physically demanding.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medication as prescribed by physician
- Provide direct care and service to residents
- Teach and wellness counseling
- Health promotion
- Participation in assessments under supervision of Resident Services Director (RN)
- Support of residents and families
- Oversight of Certified Nursing Assistants
- Training of associates and auditing of care
Requirements:
- Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice in the State
- Two years full time or full time equivalent clinical experience
- Experience and/or special interest working with older adults
- Prior dementia and psych experience strongly preferred but not mandatory
- Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 50lbs.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members
