About the Role
We are seeking a full-time specialist in Neurorehabilitation to join our team at the South Baltimore County Medical Center, Lutherville-Timonium Medical Center, and Nottingham Medical Center.
In collaboration with the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, we provide high-quality, patient-centered health care through an industry-leading health care delivery model. Our physicians have access to advanced technological tools and receive comprehensive practice support.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with neurological disorders requiring physical medicine and rehabilitation services, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other neurodegenerative conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans involving therapeutic modalities to enhance function and facilitate community reintegration.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other physicians within the Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic Region.
- Review and make recommendations to improve quality and timeliness of external neurorehabilitation services across the continuum of care.
- This role involves working within an integrated, multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care, with a focus on improving functional outcomes and quality of life.
- Engage in continuing medical education and professional development activities to maintain currency with advances in the field.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or Neurology
- Fellowship training in neurorehabilitation is highly desirable
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to excellence in patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team environment
- Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia
