SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Warehouse Manager, this position performs warehousing activities in support of routine maintenance, shutdown, turnarounds, and small capital projects such as receipt, storage and distribution of materials to meet established service level objectives in a safe and secure manner. Interfaces with various operating groups including Operations, Maintenance, Projects, Health and Safety, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain knowledge of the business units being supported and understand the relative importance of materials and equipment required to be managed as warehouse inventory or staged materials for routine Maintenance and/or Turnarounds Utilize SAP Material Management (MM) Module.
- Advise and assist stakeholders in locating and retrieving materials held within SAP MM module. Execute warehouse material movements in SAP, following company policy and procedures, including material issue and receipt records.
- Identify and notify the Procurement Associate/Buyer if the material does not conform to specifications and assist in resolving any issues.
- Perform warehouse operations and work in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager and the designated Buyer(s) to meet established target inventory levels and customer demand.
- Requires safe routine operation of equipment such as pick-up truck, forklift, pallet jacks, counterbalance truck etc.
- Conduct physical inventory counts/audits to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained when storing and retrieving material from warehouse locations.
- Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, general housekeeping, special projects, review of transaction records for problem resolution, etc.
- Follow all local and corporate safety procedures and practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- General knowledge of refining industry material, 2 years preferred
- SAP or other ERP system Material Management Module experience, 2 years preferred
- Forklift certified or prior certification desirable.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft office 365 proficiency preferred.
