We are seeking a Network Support Administrator to join our 24x7 IT Operations team. In this role, you will ensure the stability, security, and performance of critical network systems in a fast-paced retail environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex systems, contribute to process improvements, and collaborate with technical teams to deliver exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
- Create tickets, diagnose incidents, and provide first-level troubleshooting for network switches, routers, access control devices, wireless systems, and monitoring platforms.
- Monitor and manage WAN mediums (T-1, T-3, OC-3, OC-192, Metro-E), DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and access control lists (ACLs).
- Administer intrusion detection systems, virus protection, internet monitoring, and other security initiatives.
- Implement and support technologies including VRF, Link Aggregation, and BFP configurations.
- Follow established run books, escalation procedures, and ITIL-based processes (Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management).
- Collaborate with peers, Level 1 & 2 teams, and engineering teams to resolve escalations and enhance IT Operations.
- Develop and maintain support documentation, ensuring team efficiency and proactive issue resolution.
- Coordinate and communicate changes, scheduling, and gaining approval for change requests.
- Contribute to the on-time delivery of small-to-medium-sized projects.
- Communicate effectively across all levels to provide updates on issues, tasks, and projects.
- Deliver excellent customer service with follow-up and follow-through.
- Provide flexible support for a 24x7/365 environment, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of enterprise IT experience.
- Proficiency in basic Cisco IOS, Nexus OS, and JunOS commands.
- Familiarity with Nexus 2K, 5K, 7K platforms, Cisco wireless technology, and switching/routing protocols.
- Experience troubleshooting WAN mediums and administering VRF, Link Aggregation, and BFP.
- Basic proficiency with UNIX and Windows commands.
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools like SolarWinds and ExtraHop.
- Familiarity with firewall administration, ACLs, and ITIL processes.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with a proactive mindset.
