Marbles is hiring a playful, energetic part-time Guest Engagement Host with a focus on School Programs! This role is essential in creating memorable, engaging, and welcoming experiences for all visitors. Marbles welcomes school groups Wednesday through Friday for museum play, learning experiences, IMAX documentaries, and more. In this role, you’ll guide them through a seamless, enriching visit from arrival to departure. While groups are participating in experiences, this role will focus their attention on museum functions by activating exhibits, assisting at the welcome desk, supporting birthday parties, and other guest engagement functions.

Job Responsibilities
- Set up and break down program materials and spaces
- Greet groups and ensure all groups move efficiently throughout the campus
- Deliver school group programs (MasterMinds and Learning Labs) and facilitate museum exploration
- Reset museum props throughout the day to ensure that exhibits are safe, clean, welcoming, and playable at all times
- Playfully interact with guests to enhance the play and learning experience
- Assist with museum opening and closing duties in collaboration with the guest engagement team
- Act as a museum ambassador for guests to confide in and receive information that will enhance their visit
- Effectively communicate scheduling, equipment, inventory, and other operational issues with your manager
- Assist with other museum operations during school group downtimes.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the manager
- 1 year of customer service experience, particularly with families and young children (preferred)
- Experience delivering programs, such as classroom instruction, theatrical performances, or interactive presentations to large groups of children
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with supporting child-led arts and making experiences
- Walking, standing, stooping, bending, and reaching
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Preferred schedule: 15 hours weekly on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
- Schedule flexibility is required including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Exposure to a noisy and crowded atmosphere
- May need to walk between two buildings with some outdoor exposure
