Job Summary:
Down Stream Operator 2 will ensure safe operation of downstream equipment while monitoring and influencing product quality, productivity, and minimization of equipment downtime.
Education and Experience Requirements:
· No prior experience required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Ability to lift 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to work as a member of a team accepting direction from others
· Ability to think creatively and solve problems
· Ability to accept direction and constructive criticism
· Ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
· Ability to accurately read a standard and metric tape measure
· Ability to safely use tools within the converting operation
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Operating equipment that includes but is not limited to the following:
· Case packers
· Palletizers
· Product wrappers
· Stretch wrappers
· Tape machines
· Printers
Required overtime hours on off days when necessary to ensure vacancies are covered and operations remain efficient.
Responsibilities to include safely maintaining all production functions of downstream equipment including but not limited to taking preliminary steps of change overs to ensure all materials are prepared and in place, accurately completing product change overs in a timely manner to achieve optimal performance of equipment, trouble shooting and making adjustments, removing jams of products within the equipment, maintaining efficient uptime and efficiency while producing products that meet company quality standards.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and step up/down a platform and perform repetitive tasks
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
