Position Summary:
The Commercial Lease Paralegal will be an integral part of our Lease Pros Team, providing specialized support in all aspects of commercial leasing. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial lease agreements, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of documents and deadlines. You will work closely with the Lease Pros Team to ensure efficient and accurate lease administration.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lease Drafting and Review: Assist in the preparation, review, and negotiation of commercial lease agreements and other related documents, ensuring compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
- Abstracting and Summarization: Prepare detailed and accurate lease abstracts summarizing key provisions and obligations.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and lease provisions. Stay up to date on changes in commercial real estate law and best practices.
- Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential lease properties.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research related to commercial leasing laws and regulations.
- Communication and Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for landlords, tenants, and colleagues regarding lease-related inquiries and issues. Coordinate with various departments and team members to ensure smooth lease implementation.
- Lease Administration: Manage and maintain a comprehensive database of all commercial leases, including key dates, obligations, and financial terms within Lease Pros lease portfolio management system. Track critical deadlines such as option periods, rent escalations, and expiration dates
- Project Support: Assist with special projects related to commercial leasing, such as portfolio analysis, lease audits, and process improvements.
- Promote Efficiency: Follow established Standard Operating Procedures and actively collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure efficient workflows and successful project outcomes.
Non-Essential Responsibilities:
- Support other departments with projects as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received:
Specific Direction: Follows established work procedures. Receives periodic checks for performance. Refers unique questions/conditions to immediate supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or Paralegal Certificate required.
- Notary Public certification preferred but not required.
- One (1) to two (2) years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant preferred.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of commercial lease terminology, legal principles, and industry standards.
- Excellent drafting, reviewing, and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in managing and organizing large volumes of documents and data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with lease management software is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
