Position Summary:
Marceco is looking to employ an enthusiastic and driven People Ops intern to assist our People Operations Department with administrative and HR and People Operation-related tasks. The People Operations intern’s responsibilities include updating employee records, filing People Operations documents accordingly, initiating background checks on shortlisted candidates, and providing suitable recommendations to improve People Operations policies.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Update HRIS database or other HR related software by inputting employee contact information and employment details.
- Assist the People Operations staff with filing and other administrative tasks.
- Screen potential applicants resume to identify suitable candidates to fill company job vacancies.
- Organize interviews with shortlisted candidates.
- Posting job advertisements to job boards and social media platforms.
- Remove job advertisements from job boards and social media platforms once vacancies have been filled.
- Assist the People Operations staff in gathering market salary information.
- Assist in the planning of company events.
- Prepare and send offer and rejection letters or emails to candidates.
- Assist with new hire orientations.
- Respond to staff inquiries regarding People Operation policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters.
Non-Essential Responsibilities:
- Support other departments with projects as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received:
Specific Direction: Follows established work procedures. Receives periodic checks for performance. Refers unique questions/conditions to immediate supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervision: No supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or studying towards a degree in human resource management or related field.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proven experience working in an office environment.
- Working knowledge of U.S. labor laws.
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is preferred.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
