Seeking a dependable and reliable employee to fill immediate full-time opening for an Industrial Maintenance Technician in a cast iron foundry. Position: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Starting Rate: $25/hour, or more with experience

Company Description: We are a cast iron foundry and machine shop—we use tooling to make sand molds that we fill with liquid iron. The parts we make cover a wide variety of industries including power generation, material handling, and even replica parts for museums. The parts we make move the world and we believe our team represents the best of West Michigan’s manufacturing. This position is for an industrial maintenance technician, responsible for performing both preventative and emergency maintenance on our equipment.

Job Type: Full-Time, Monday-Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. Overtime as necessary.

Job Duties:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician ensures that the equipment is in good shape by performing preventative maintenance or repairs as necessary. This includes but is not limited to:

· Safely troubleshoot and perform maintenance on mechanical systems such as forklifts, conveyors, air tools. This may include welding, grinding, and use of hand tools

· Safely troubleshoot and perform maintenance on electrical systems (single phase and three phase) such as relays, motors, starters, lights. This may include use of ammeters, voltmeters or other diagnostic tools.

· Setting up new equipment by running electrical, duct work, air lines, etc.

· Tracks inventory of maintenance tools and supplies. Places orders with management when necessary.

· Ensures procedures and quality measures are being followed.

· Comfortable operating a forklift and scissor lift, as necessary.

· Comfortable working at heights such as on a ladder or scissor lift.

· Must be comfortable working off a maintenance checklist and reviewing manuals, blueprints, and diagrams as necessary.

· Must be a self-starter, comfortable working with minimal direction, and capable of maintaining good records of maintenance performed.

· Must have reliable transportation for traveling between our two locations. Milage will be reimbursed.

· Must be levelheaded, focused, and comfortable working in hot and dirty conditions.

· May periodically work out of our Marcellus, MI location as the need arises.

Qualification Requirements/Experience:

· 1 year of maintenance experience needed

· 1 years of welding experience needed

· Facilities maintenance experience a plus but not required

· Ability to follow instructions and to ask for help when necessary

· Must be comfortable using computers and computer programs such as Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs

· Must have dependable transportation

· Eye for detail

· Must be able to take feedback from management and implement changes as necessary

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
