Mathematics Teacher, Middle School

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the FL Best Standards curriculum
- Teach Mathematical concepts
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Incorporate learning technology into lessons to enhance student engagement and understanding
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students in their academic and personal growth
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Valid FL teaching certification in 5-9 Mathematics, K-12 Elem Ed, or relevant subject area
- Proven experience in teaching mathematics at the secondary level (middle or high school)
- Strong knowledge of Florida's BEST Mathematics curriculum standards and instructional best practices
- Proficiency in mathematical concepts
- Familiarity with learning technology tools and platforms including Google Classroom
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
- Experience in mentoring students or providing academic support
- Knowledge of higher education teaching methods is a plus
- Additional expertise in Leader in Me and STEAM programs is desirable but not required
