This position develops detailed financial models to support decision making related to complex business issues. They will analyze a variety of financial scenarios to support all departments of the business and build accurate reports either ad hoc or recurring in nature. They must also be strategic minded with the ability to plan, forecast, and estimate financial statements and scenarios as required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Leverage data to create insights and teachable points of view.
- Build annual budgets and forecasts for different business units and consolidating into one master budget.
- Analyzing previous budgets and forecasts and performing variance analysis to explain discrepancies.
- Update period end forecasts and provide potential risks and opportunities to the business.
- Create financial models to predict growth and forecast performance.
- Analyze the impact of specific decisions - e.g. forecasting the impact of a capital project.
- Track key performance indicators (KPI’s) and objectives.
- Analysis of various operational and financial KPI’s, preparing reports and providing insights and findings to senior management.
- Evaluating new and existing projects or investments to determine their validity and appraise their value.
- Collaborate with senior members of the accounting and finance teams.
- Frequently presents with high visibility to senior leadership across the organization.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role in finance and accounting, or business management
Preferred:
- MBA or CPA preferred
- Basic knowledge of database structures
Physical Requirement(s):
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Travel to home office in Toledo, OH quarterly.
Critical Competencies:

- Experience with financial analysis, financial modeling, profitability analysis and/or auditing techniques
- Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting aggressive deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
- Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or expectations to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
- Knowledge of the link between analysis and business impact
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint
