What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cyber Security Operations Intern position at Marco Technologies?
As a Cyber Security Operations Intern, you will primarily support the Information Security Operations, Network Operations, and Incident Response programs. You will maintain security standards which will include understanding security solution use cases and focus on day-to-day operations and management of security technology solutions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Acquire an understanding of Marco's information systems, managed technology solutions, security architecture, remote monitoring and management systems, and how they are designed to operate daily. Contribute as assigned to daily security management tasks.
- Respond in a timely manner to security-related events, conduct investigations within established procedures, provide a thorough post-event analysis, and work with clients, vendor, and internal teams to manage security threats.
- Ensure implemented solutions are meeting expectations and assist with product maintenance and lifecycle management.
- Maintain and contribute to best practices within the organization, including, but not limited to our technology practice groups, knowledge base or documentation library, and assigned committees. Continuously update the company's incident response and supporting procedures.
- Conduct security assessments through audit, discovery, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis.
- Understand and maintain proficiency with NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) including updates, organizational impacts, and practical use.
- Accurately maintain and comply with documentation, communication, time entry, and administrative procedures in a timely manner.
