Position Overview:
MarCon Engineering Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with expertise in Golf Courses., USGA and/or PGA experience, government projects, contracts, experience. The ideal candidate will lead, direct, and oversee the daily management of construction projects while ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and budgetary constraints.
Requirements for Design-Build Projects:
- The Project Manager must have experience managing at least five (5) comparable 18-hole golf course construction projects.
- Familiarity with USGA and/or PGA standards is required.
- Responsibilities include budget oversight, scheduling, performance management, permit acquisition, RFI and submittal coordination, and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and manage the terms and scope of construction contracts.
- Oversee administrative and field construction activities for assigned projects.
- Maintain direct communication and coordination with trades throughout the construction process.
- Monitor job costs, work status, and billings while managing submittals, project schedules, and change orders.
- Perform basic estimating, take-offs, and solicitation of quotes.
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing, demonstrating strong problem-solving, supervisory, and organizational skills.
- Attend and actively participate in project meetings.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Travel as needed for business, including possible short-term relocation.
Physical Requirements:
- Operate company vehicles for job-related travel.
- Navigate active construction sites, including open trenches and unfinished buildings.
- Climb ladders, stairs, and hoists, and work in areas under construction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 – 10 years of experience managing Golf Courses construction projects.
- Proven ability to coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, compliance, and inspections.
- Experience preparing material and equipment specifications, supervising project teams, and training personnel.
- Strong knowledge of T.I., underground utilities, and concrete work.
- Proficiency in Sage Timberline, Primavera P6, SureTrak, ProCore, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- First Aid and CPR certification, with a demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to obtain security clearance and pass a government background check.
Compensation Disclaimer:

Work Schedule:
- Salaried employees are expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required during peak project phases.
- This position is FLSA-exempt.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel to job sites, off-site meetings, and internal company events.
