The Business Intelligence Manager will design and develop dynamic, actionable dashboards by integrating data from diverse ERP systems. This role involves extracting, transforming, and consolidating data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting. The ideal individual will excel in creating insightful visualizations that drive business decisions while maintaining a strong focus on data integrity and performance optimization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand and translate business requirements into impactful dashboards is essential. 
 
Essential Job Duties 

 

Data Architecture, Visualization and Reporting 

  • Extracts, transforms, and loads (ETL) data from multiple SQL tables into Power BI. 

  • Designs and builds interactive dashboards and reports tailored to financial performance metrics and trends. 

  • Optimizes SQL queries for performance in Power BI data models. 

  • Ensures data integrity and consistency during integration. 

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements including but not limited to dynamic KPI dashboards and variance analysis reports.  

 

ERP Data Integration 

  • Connects Power BI to Epicor and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for seamless data extraction and visualization. 

  • Collaborates with IT to ensure proper data flows between systems and Power BI. 

  • Troubleshoots and optimize ERP data connections for efficiency and reliability. 

 

Financial Data Modeling and Analysis 

  • Builds robust data models in Power BI to analyze financial datasets, including budgeting, forecasting, pricing and profitability analysis. 

  • Uses advanced DAX formulas and Power Query to derive insights from complex ERP datasets. 

  • Ensures data integrity by reconciling Power BI outputs with Epicor and Microsoft Dynamics 365 records. 

 

Collaboration and Business Partnership 

  • Partners with finance teams understand business requirements and deliver custom reporting solutions. 

  • Works with ERP administrators to enhance the usability and functionality of Epicor and Dynamics 365 data for reporting purposes.
