Job Description
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare and review quarterly financial statements
Prepare in-house income tax returns
Gather income tax information provided to CPA firm
Review income tax returns
Quarterly income tax estimates
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Controller or Tax Manager
Job Qualifications
Experience :
4 years of experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Public Accounting
Federal and State Income Tax (Partnership and Individual)
Full cycle General Ledger Accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Accounting and Tax software (ATW / SEI Archway a plus)
Skills :
Federal and state income tax (1040, 1041, 1065, 1120-S, 990 and 709)
Strong General Accounting knowledge
Family / small office experience
Excellent organizational, time management and detail oriented
Self-starter that works independently and as part of team
Understands limits of personal knowledge, asks questions, clarifies expectations
Ability to clearly communicate
Adaptable to changing needs
Working Conditions
Able to work a varied schedule to complete projects and meet deadlines in response to changing demands.
Able to work overtime (scheduled and / or unscheduled, and / or weekends) as needed or required to meet established deadlines
Able to perform work indoors in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office, or private office.
Physical Requirements
Able to demonstrate the manual dexterity to operate a personal computer effectively.
Able to communicate orally in a clear manner.
Able to hear oral communication either in person or on equipment such as telephone or mobile phone.
Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop, for extended periods of time creating, composing, and reviewing documents and spreadsheets.
Able to operate office equipment, including telephone, mobile phone, photocopier, fax machine, scanner, and calculator.
