This role covers the commodity function within the Metals department.

- Contribute to product trading capability to support liquidity for clients.
- Manage Marex market risk for product set within group risk appetite and defined risk limits whilst generating positive returns.
- Work efficiently and support making efficiencies, including collaborating with data, research, and analytics colleagues to identify opportunities for hedging strategies and clients.
- Collaborate with sales / broking functions to originate hedging solutions and structured transactions, with a cross product selling mindset.
- Collaborate with central operations functions which support the trading role including Operations and Technology.
- Strategize to increase P&L and achieve the target set by the desk manager, requiring ongoing analysis of markets and products.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring compliance with all regulatory or company determined parameters.
- Be a role model demonstrating the highest level standards of integrity and conduct, reflecting Company Values.
- Comply with the MAS Code of Conduct at all times.
- Carry out regulatory activities under the Marex Financial trading books.
- Liaise with clients when called upon.
- Ensure awareness of and adherence to internal policies related to your role or any other activities for which you have responsibility.
- Report any breaches of policy to Compliance and / or your supervisor as required.
- Escalate risk events immediately.
- Provide input to risk management processes as required.
- The Company may require you to carry out other duties from time to time.
