Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting (or related field) from an accredited institution, with 10 years of accounting experience.
Required experience, skills, and knowledge:
- Extensive experience with the State of Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR), including ledger management and financial reporting.
- Deep understanding of the State of Florida chart of accounts and its usage.
- Advanced knowledge of financial accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to analyze and reconcile FLAIR accounting data, including complex multi-source data and general ledger balances.
- Expertise in identifying data inconsistencies, resolving issues, and proposing corrective actions.
- Experience creating tools for data correction.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines with multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Florida governmental accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in financial reporting reconciliations (central and departmental records).
- Advanced Excel skills, including macros and functions.
- Programming experience for data uploads and automation.
- Experience with TR10 transaction entries and data cleansing.
- Background in financial management system design, testing, or implementation.
- Strong teamwork skills, both as a leader and member.
- Experience in business analysis and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
