Cleaner/Janitor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with a focus on both commercial and residential spaces.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Conduct commercial cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Carry out custodial responsibilities such as waste disposal, restroom sanitation, and replenishing supplies as needed.
• Assist with industrial cleaning tasks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols.
• Maintain floor care through regular buffing and polishing to enhance appearance and longevity of flooring materials.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or maintenance needs promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of cleanliness are met.

Skills

• Strong ability to maintain cleanliness in various environments including commercial and residential settings.
• Experience in custodial work or porter services is preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
• Familiarity with floor care practices including buffing and polishing methods.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions effectively.
• Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
