A Housekeeping Inspector has a great eye for detail and accuracy and will assist the Room Attendants in ensuring the very best quality of work is delivered.
Responsibilities include:
- Report to Housekeeping Office at the beginning of shift, pick up and sign out key, and return key when reporting to office at end of shift.
- Inspect all assigned rooms and suites daily, including bed stripping, bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, checking working order of room lights, air conditioner unit / television / radio / iron / hairdryer, spot cleaning, cleanliness under bed, and stocking all room supplies.
- Supervise Room Attendants, including the re-cleaning of any items missed or not cleaned to Driftwood and hotel standards.
- Ensure quality services are rendered in meeting guest needs.
- Maintain room quality based on Driftwood and hotel guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain required level of cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, laundry, restrooms, and common areas
- Assist with cleaning rooms, as needs of the business dictate.
- Train new associates.
- Ensure safety standards are strictly followed.
- Enforce procedures for the acceptance, security, and return of guest lost and found items
- Report any items missing from rooms and suites.
- Report all items in need of repair to supervisor and maintain equipment used in work.
- Protect guest safety and well-being; be courteous to all guests and co-workers.
Personal Skills
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
- Ability to accurately report information.
- Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures; hold subordinates accountable for same.
