Your Role:
- Managing and coordinating the opening procedures of recreation areas at the pool decks, events, sports activities and facilities.
- Work with recreation staff to ensure that all areas are clean, safe and supplies well stocked for guests.
- Developing and implementing recreational programs and activities under the guidance of the director according to resort requirements and seasonal opportunities..
- Plans, organizes and instructs specific classes, activities and events, including special events and holiday programs.
- Maintaining safety and security standards and enforcing regulations.
- Maintaining records of attendance at programs and events, including registration information and contact details for guests/participants for Cabana Rentals, Miniature Golf clubs/balls, Raquet Rentals, etc……
- Ensure adequate Lifeguard presence in all pool areas.
- Maintain guest relations at all times assisting with all guest requests or concerns.
- Inventory all safety kits and supplies for daily operations.
- Recruiting, training, and supervising staff and interns.
- Assist Director with other assignments requested.
Qualifications
- Above average interpersonal communication skills.
- Supervisory or Management Experience
- CPR Training & Standard First Aid.
- Current lifeguard certification.
- 1 year experience as a lifeguard or instructor.
- Above average swimming skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Constant standing and occasional walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push/pull goods up to 40 lbs or a maximum of 75 lbs on a hand cart/truck.
- Ability to perform duties in confined spaces and within extreme temperature ranges.
- Ability to strictly follow all sanitation, safety and cleaning schedules practicing clean-as-you-go techniques.
- This job is performed 100% outdoors during season. Must be able to tolerate extreme heat. Property provides consistent hydration and safety measures for all outdoor team members.
