Job Title: Waterpark Supervisor
Position Summary:
The Waterpark Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the waterpark, ensuring that all team members provide excellent customer service, maintaining safety standards, and creating an enjoyable experience for guests. This role includes supervising waterpark attendant, staff, and ensuring all waterpark areas are clean, safe, and operating smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Supervision and Leadership:
• Supervise and manage waterpark team members.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure that staff members perform their roles effectively.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and assist with staff development.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage employee schedules. - Guest Experience and Customer Service:
• Greet guests, address concerns, and ensure a positive and safe experience throughout their visit.
• Monitor guest behavior and ensure that all safety rules and regulations are followed.
• Handle guest complaints, incidents, or emergencies promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service by addressing any issues that arise and ensuring guest satisfaction. - Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure that all safety protocols and guidelines are strictly followed by staff and guests.
• Oversee waterpark attendants to ensure they are vigilant and properly enforcing safety rules.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of water attractions, slides, and other areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed and provide first aid or CPR until medical personnel arrive. - Operational Oversight:
• Monitor waterpark operations, ensuring all attractions are functioning properly and safely.
• Manage daily opening and closing procedures, including ensuring all areas are clean, secure, and properly stocked with supplies.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and report any issues to the maintenance team.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the park, including restrooms, eating areas, and common spaces. - Inventory and Supplies:
• Oversee inventory levels for operational supplies such as waterpark attendant equipment, cleaning materials, and first aid kits.
• Ensure that all supplies are replenished in a timely manner and notify management when new stock is needed. - Team Collaboration and Communication:
• Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance, food service, and guest services, to ensure smooth operations.
• Hold regular staff meetings, such as pre-shifts, to communicate updates, review procedures, and discuss any concerns.
• Foster a positive work environment by encouraging teamwork and collaboration among staff members. - Event and Special Program Support:
• Assist with the planning and execution of special events, group bookings, and promotional activities.
• Provide excellent service during peak times and special events to ensure guests have a great experience.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, recreation, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
• Previous experience in waterpark operations, recreation, or hospitality (preferred).
• Experience in staff supervision and customer service.
• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role (preferred).
Skills:
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with staff and guests.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• In-depth knowledge of waterpark operations, safety regulations, and guest services.
• Ability to handle conflict resolution, emergencies, and guest complaints.
Certifications:
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (preferred).
• Waterpark or lifeguard training certification (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the waterpark for long periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and humidity.
• Comfort working in an environment with loud noises, crowds, and high activity levels.
Work Environment:
• Waterpark supervisors work in outdoor, water-based environments.
• Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak seasons.
• The position involves working in hot, sunny, humid, rainy and sometimes cold conditions.
