Job Purpose:
- Diesel Mechanics collaborate with other repair team members to ensure a vehicle is safely and efficiently operating to the drivers needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered vehicles.
- Run diagnostic tests on vehicles.
- Replace vehicles engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, or braking systems.
- Test drive vehicles to determine if maintenance issues have been properly fixed.
- Consult with customers and read work orders to evaluate required tasks.
- Prepare work plans after fully scoping out the issues.
