Key Responsibilities (Top 5-6)
- Directly supervises AR/Chargeback Staff (2) and AP Staff (2), including acting as back-up for staff during vacations, and sick time absences.
- Responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Subledgers ensuring accuracy of Customer and Vendor accounts.
- Supervises all month-end and year-end Accounting procedures including preparation and entry of journal entries for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger computer systems.
- Administers customer credit management functions including coordinating credit approval with the Controller, CFO, and when necessary, insurance underwriters.
- Responsible for Managing the Continuous Improvement program as it relates to cost savings and efficiency improvements in the AP and AR areas.
- Assist with various audits (CPA, bank)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of management experience in Accounting, with a strong focus on AP/AR functions in a fully integrated system environment including previous supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, Process Controls, and other relevant Accounting standards
- Preferred qualifications: CPA, MBA
- Experience working at a Big 4 Accounting firm a plus
