Summary:
The bilingual Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties. This position has responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruiting/staffing, onboarding, offboarding employees and temporary workers, processing temp worker and other HR department related invoices, first point of contact for all employee and temp worker needs, administrative responsibilities, employee relations, learning and development, policy implementation, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.
Requirements:
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in the same or similar role
- HR Certification preferred (aPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP)
- Must be bilingual (Spanish) and able to translate verbally and in writing
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Expertise in ADP Workforce Now HR and Payroll system
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Concur and general PC knowledge
Accountability # 1 – Essential Functions (80%):
- Administers various human resource procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
- Recruiting - Post open positions, screen resumes and forward qualified candidates to hiring managers for review; Coordinate communications with recruiters, HR, department managers and candidates regarding applications, interviews, and recruitment status; schedule interviews, generate offer letters and conduct pre-employment screenings and training.
- Onboarding – ensure all documentation is completed for new hires along with benefit selections.
- Temp workers - assist with sourcing workers to meet business needs to include communications with agencies, onboarding, weekly invoice processing, I-9 auditing, etc.
- Responsible for I-9 compliance.
- Ensures legal compliance (such as wage and hour violations) by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records.
- Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO/AA-1 report annually.
- Maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations; Vet Report – race, ethnicity, and gender of the workforce.
- Administration of Learning and Development System and ETP Training Rosters.
- Ensures job descriptions are current.
- Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
- Maintains org charts.
- Responsibility for E-time timekeeping system and Biostar. Utilizes E-time system for reports.
- Assist with HR department initiatives, employee events, and the wellness program.

Ensures clear and timely communication within department and with other departments to maximize quality, productivity and minimize down time.
