Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
3-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in data-driven projects,
preferably within the insurance industry.
Strong knowledge of insurance data across underwriting, claims, policy
administration, and actuarial functions.
Experience with data domain modeling, metadata management, and
taxonomy development.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK, DCAM).
Proficiency in SQL and Alteryx preferred. Most teams operate in a BI
Excellent documentation and communication skills, with experience
creating BRDs, FRDs, and data dictionaries.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred:
Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and data lakes.
Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) tools such as Informatica, Collibra, or Talend.
Knowledge of general life insurance concepts and as well as regulatory requirements related to data management and reporting.
