Responsible for technical and creative expertise and support of simulation technology and related educational methodologies; collaborates with course coordinators and faculty to ensure preparation of lab supplies and equipment based on faculty requests and course; models professionalism to students; demonstrates commitment to student academic success; practices effective interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills while teaching in an integrated curriculum based on Nurse of the Future Competencies : Patient-Centered Care, Professionalism, Leadership, Systems-Based Practice, Informatics and Technology, Communication, Teamwork and Collaboration, Safety, Quality Improvement, and Evidence-Based Practice; teaching schedule may include evenings and weekends.Essential FunctionsExpertise in simulation-based standards and practices; operation of high, mid, and low fidelity simulation equipment, task trainers, audiovisual equipment, computers and software used in the nursing simulation lab to replicate a simulated healthcare setting; assists in developing and implementing detailed, clinical based scenarios, techniques, protocols, and academic materials necessary for simulation education; assists students and faculty with preparing for and conducting simulation-based learning experiences; collaborates with clinical and classroom faculty to make appropriate scenario adjustments based on student needs, strengths, and goals; supports college and district student success initiatives; pursues professional growth activities; engages in the academic life of the college by participating in department, campus, and District-wide committees.
