In this position, you will provide human resource analysis, recommendations, and services to support the operational goals of the Assessor's Office.Under the direction of the human resources leader, you will be assigned full functional HR responsibilities, which may include recruitment, staff development, employee relations, compensation, and consultation with management related to HR best practices.This position is based in an administrative location in downtown Phoenix and allows for a combination of work-from-home and on-site work.

We Require
Two years of experience in human resources, conducting personnel investigations and providing organizational leaders with recommendations related to best HR practices
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
Professional-level experience in human resources may substitute for the educational requirements on a year-for-year basis
We Also Value
Experience managing complex ADA and FMLA cases and participating in Change Management
Job Contributions
Interpret, explain, and make recommendations related to personnel laws, rules, policies, and procedures
Ensure the best HR practices and consistent implementation related to Employee Relations, Recruitment, the Americans with Disability Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Case Management, Compensation, and Performance Management
Investigate, analyze, and prepare written documentation related to complex employee-related concerns, grievances, and / or other circumstances related to personnel management that may lead to litigation
Establish HR metrics, reporting, and procedures to capture trends and prepare for organizational changes that may impact the workforce
Work with management to forecast personnel needs, including the skills and abilities that will be needed for future operations
In collaboration with the Training and Development division, create training material / courses to elevate the skills of existing staff and management
Act as a trainer, as needed, to teach courses related to Human Resources Management, Leadership, and other professional development skills to grow the staff
Contribute to a positive work environment by engaging with staff and supervisors frequently, acting as a business partner with management, and working with communications in developing engagement opportunities
Work collaboratively with the HR project coordinator to develop and implement HR initiatives or other operational programs related to the Assessor's Office goals and strategic priorities.
Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in an office setting with a telework option and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
