POSITION TITLE:
ASP Student Assistant Internship
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Onsite School ASP Program Supervisor - Marietta Community School
JOB CLASSIFICATION:
Classified Position
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides assistance, under supervision, to the ASP supervisor and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Student, no diploma required, must be at least 16 years of age
Certifications/License Required:
- CPR and First Aid Certification (completed within 90 days from hire date)
- 10 Hours online Health and Safety training as required by Bright from the Start (completed within 90 days of hire date)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
- Under the supervision of ASP staff, instructs and actively engages with students in the ASP program.
- Follows the daily schedule set forth by the ASP Program Supervisor
- Assists students with homework and other activities as directed by ASP Program Supervisor.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and follows safety procedures set forth by Marietta Community School and Marietta City Schools.
- Communicates in a professional manner with all stakeholders.
- Attends required training and participates in ASP staff meetings when necessary.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.

Oral and written communication, ability to follow directions, knowledge of site safety procedures. Must be able to participate in routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.
