Marietta Office Supply immediately seeks a highly motivated, enthusiastic and driven Customer Service/Sales Rep to drive sales and generate leads. The Customer Service/Sales representative is responsible for all direct sales in a defined territory and works closely with customers to assess their needs, answer their questions about products and recommend the right solutions. They are responsible for informing potential and existing customers of product features and benefits and resolving customer complaints to ensure maximum client satisfaction.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients; establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
- Developing and implementing an effective sales strategy to drive sales and generate leads. Identify specific targets and project the number of contacts to be made.
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity; identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
- Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts; develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
- Identify and resolve client concerns; handle customer complaints.
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
- Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services; follow-up for collection of payments as needed.
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events
- Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services.
- Provide on-the-job training to new sales employees.
- Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up; coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
- Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.
- Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & marketing preferred; equivalent job experience is also acceptable.
- Five years of direct, business-to-business sales experience desired.
- Must possess excellent Customer Service Skills.
- Comfortable with visiting, developing, and maintaining customer’s accounts; monthly, quarterly, and annual hard sales targets; and commission based compensation.
- Must possess pleasant demeanor, a professional attitude, and appearance. Must have great communication skills.
- Must have proven, excellent selling skills.
- Must be computer literate and willing to learn and embrace new technology-based management systems.
- Willingness to travel regionally 100% of the time; extra-region travel will be required from time to time.
