QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of two years professional working experience with children and families, wellness program administration preferred. Must be organized and professional. Must have basic computer proficiency. Two years of experience in recreation program implementation, supervision, and oversight of intramural and club sporting events through facility membership/rental preferred. Experience creating aquatic programming, intramural sport programs, and fitness services preferred. Excellent customer service with an ability to establish and maintain supportive working relationships within the team, the public, service groups, and facility users with a focus on the needs in the community required. Must be able to work as a member of the Boys & Girls Club team to provide all necessary programming for Club and community youth. Valid driver’s license, evidence of insurability, and three-year motor vehicle report required. Prior experience working in a tribal setting preferred. Satisfactory completion of a background check required. Current First Aid, CPR, AED and Lifeguard Certification required or ability to obtain within the first 6 months of hire. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include days/evenings/weekend/holiday hours as programming requires.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the facilitation and organizational details of youth recreation programming.
- Advocates for a holistic, family-centered approach to recreational services and collaborates with community partners.
- Knowledgeable and promotes recreation programming activities to all patients/members/community members.
- Participates in training and planning for Marimn Health staff and community stakeholders to enhance the volunteer system of the recreation program.
- Adheres to Marimn Health documentation standards and protocols in a timely manner to ensure reporting protocols are met.
- Facilitates staff and community awareness of program development and implementation.
- Assists with communication of program activities and events with the marketing department to publicize events as appropriate.
- Maintains knowledge of trauma informed care best practices and implements these practices within all aspects of recreation programming.
- Assists with organizing and implementing Boys & Girls Club evidence-based programming to support and engage with youth.
- Consistently promotes a positive, professional image of Marimn Health Wellness Center and Coeur Center at all times and provides high-quality customer service to all members.
- Consistently demonstrates positive, effective communication skills with all internal and external partners and organizations.
- Works with staff to manage and schedule youth recreational programming, in conjunction with other events and activities.
- Assists as needed in planning recreational events and activities, in collaboration with the Boys & Girls Club Recreation Supervisor and the Boys & Girls Club Manager.
- Performs daily walk-through of facility to check safety of playing surfaces, unlock access gate in the event of an emergency, securing at the close of business.
- May be responsible for coordinating the assignment of support staff and volunteers during recreation events and activities in the absence of the Youth Sports and Recreation Supervisor.
- Verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is professional and timely to ensure smooth facility reservation/usage.
- Assists with maintaining youth recreation rental inventory and utilization data, while providing recommendations for purchasing or replacing supplies and equipment.
- Uses electronic member/reservation system to ensure activities and sporting events/leagues are scheduled within universal software system.
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of compliance of confidentiality and record keeping within recreation program.
