place of creative, active learning built around our commitment to developing each
student’s confident voice. Marin Horizon serves about 300 students from toddler
through grade eight and is located in Mill Valley, CA.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Marin Horizon seeks a creative and dynamic Lower School Spanish teacher with a
desire to create engaging, differentiated curriculum and foster a caring and vibrant
classroom community. The ideal candidate has experience with curriculum design and
acknowledges the importance of social-emotional learning across all learning
experiences. The position requires excellent collaborative and communication skills, a
flexible and positive attitude, and the vision necessary to help create a dynamic Lower
School Spanish program.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Curriculum and Classroom Management
- Create and maintain an organized and engaging classroom environment with
movement, and learning
- Employ a variety of teaching methodologies to meet diverse learning needs
- Establish a classroom culture where children have high expectations for
- Collaborate with Marin Horizon team members to design, refine and
- Assess students regularly, examine assessment data, and refine lesson plans
Student Support teachers
Parent Education, Meetings, and Conferences
- Provide students and their families with regular and timely information on
- Prepare documents and reports necessary to facilitate parent-teacher
- Write monthly classroom updates to inform families about ongoing work,

- Attend weekly team and faculty meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Anticipated annualized salary range between $70,000 and $95,000

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in related field required; Master's Degree preferred
- 3 years teaching experience preferred
- Experience with Spanish curriculum design
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
- Must possess a growth mindset and can use feedback to refine practice
