Job Description

Marina Lounge in Suisun City, CA is looking for one server / waitstaff to join our 10 person strong team. We are located on 700 Main St Suite 106. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities :

Setting the Table :

Prepare tables with clean linens, utensils, glassware, and other necessary items before service.
Ensure tables are arranged and stocked appropriately for various guest needs.

Presenting the Menu and Assisting Guests :

Greet guests warmly and provide an overview of the menu, including daily specials and seasonal offerings.

Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and dietary accommodations.

Offer recommendations to enhance the dining experience based on guest preferences.

Delivering Food and Beverages :

Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring guest preferences and special requests are communicated to the kitchen.

Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously, ensuring presentation standards are met.

Constantly monitor tables to anticipate and fulfill guest needs, including refilling drinks and clearing empty plates and glasses.

Learn and memorize food and drink menus to confidently recommend items and answer guest questions.

Providing a Great Customer Experience :

Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.

Respond promptly to guest inquiries or concerns, ensuring any issues are resolved effectively.

Collaborate with team members and other staff to provide seamless and efficient service.

Uphold cleanliness and organization standards throughout the service area.

Qualifications

Skills & Attributes :

Strong communication skills with the ability to actively listen and engage with guests.

Multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.

Experience :

Prior experience as a Server, Waitress, or Waiter is a plus but not mandatory.

Knowledge of food and beverage service is an advantage.

Other Requirements :

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.

Training Requirements :

Food Safety Certification : Discuss the importance of certification from the National Restaurant Association for food preparation, serving, and storage.

Available shifts and compensation : We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation depends on your experience.
