Labor & Employment Senior Counsel - Houston

Our client, an Am Law 200 law firm, is seeking Senior Counsel for its Labor & Employment practice group in Houston, Texas. The firm offers a flexible work schedule to support a healthy work-life balance and professional development, requiring one day a week in office.

The estimated salary range for this position is $250,000 to $265,000 (annually) and may vary depending on experience and other factors.

Qualifications:

• 7 years of experience in labor and employment law
• Strong background in federal and state statutes that affect the employment relationship
• Strong background in Texas employment litigation and advice and counseling
• Significant experience with adversary proceedings, including litigating matters in both state and federal courts
• Trial experience preferred
• Familiarity with employment manuals and other relevant employment-related documents
• Comfort with direct client interaction, including providing legal counseling and advice on employment-related matters
• Ability to handle a high-volume caseload with attention to detail and deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• JD from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
• Must be an active member and in good standing of the Texas bar
