Major Duties
What to Expect
Oversees and manages the day-to-day operations and schedules of the Guest Services Representatives and Housekeeping Supervisor and is the second level supervisor for the Housekeeping team.
Serves as first level of management contact for guest service questions or concerns.
Directly or indirectly through subordinate supervisor, supervises employees.
Prepares bank deposits by verifying, reconciling, and ensuring accuracy of all cashiers' Daily Activity Reports.
Assigns and distributes work, coaches, counsels, tutors, and mentors employees, creates schedules, approves and disapproves leave, recommends and completes personnel actions, disciplinary actions, completes performance reviews, signs timesheets, trains employees..
Performs other related duties as assigned..
This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
Qualifications
What are we looking for?
A minimum of four years customer service experience and one-year supervisory experience required.
A minimum of one year guest services experience working in the hospitality industry, specifically a lodging and/or hotel operation strongly preferred.
A successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in Resort/Hotel Management, Recreation Management, OR related field leading to a bachelor's degree, from an accredited college or university is preferred, OR a combination of related experience and education.
Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
Experience utilizing word processing and spreadsheet software.
Knowledge of Nonappropriated Funds (NAF) policies and procedures preferred.
Knowledge of safety procedures.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Note: This position is designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (nature or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
