Marine Surveyor / Norfolk, VA Area / Part Time- Hourly Position

 

Marine Safety Consultants, Inc is looking for a Marine Surveyor who is a career maritime professional with commercial fishing and/or sea-going experience to conduct inspections and damage surveys on all types of marine vessels and barges, as well as crew injury claims investigations.

 

This is a part-time / hourly position based from our Norfolk, VA office. This is an excellent opportunity for a semi-retired individual who is looking to stay active in the maritime field and is challenged by a new opportunity to use their skills in a shoreside position. The job could lead to a full-time position. Moderate travel within the mid-Atlantic states should be expected.

 

We are looking for someone who wants to be challenged, has a propensity to learn, and is interested in solving problems. This person needs to work well with others, be able to multi-task and think on their feet. We are proud of the services we provide and value the potential of a like-minded individual.

 

College education preferred. Must be able to convey conditions, circumstances, and situations in concise written reports. We are willing to work with someone who is willing to learn.
