Marine Surveyor / Norfolk, VA Area / Part Time- Hourly Position
Marine Safety Consultants, Inc is looking for a Marine Surveyor who is a career maritime professional with commercial fishing and/or sea-going experience to conduct inspections and damage surveys on all types of marine vessels and barges, as well as crew injury claims investigations.
This is a part-time / hourly position based from our Norfolk, VA office. This is an excellent opportunity for a semi-retired individual who is looking to stay active in the maritime field and is challenged by a new opportunity to use their skills in a shoreside position. The job could lead to a full-time position. Moderate travel within the mid-Atlantic states should be expected.
We are looking for someone who wants to be challenged, has a propensity to learn, and is interested in solving problems. College education preferred. Must be able to convey conditions, circumstances, and situations in concise written reports. We are willing to work with someone who is willing to learn.
