Job Role
The Senior Scientist/Project Manager will be responsible for leading project management, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to strategic growth through proposal writing and marketing efforts.
This role requires the ability to work independently, generating complex reports and documents with minimal oversight, and managing projects from bid to completion.
Key Responsibilities
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
• Collaborate with the Executive Team to develop and implement the business development plan
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, participating in strategic development
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Provide technical direction and oversight for environmental consulting projects
• Mentor and supervise field staff, ensuring safe project execution and meeting client objectives
• Coordinate project administration, including financial performance, budgeting, and task delegation
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Possess advanced SCUBA certification
• Have expertise in coastal ecosystems and species
• Skilled in designing field sampling programs using accepted scientific methods
• Experienced with marine remote sensing equipment
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams efficiently
