Bookkeeper

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with experience in corporate and public accounting. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Bookkeeper will work closely with management to provide timely financial information that supports decision-making.

Duties

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in all entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are accounted for.
• Prepare financial statements and reports as required by management.
• Execute general ledger reconciliation to verify the accuracy of accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts based on financial data.
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures while identifying areas for improvement.

Experience

• Proven experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or a similar role is preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles.
• Experience with general ledger reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.21 - $21.44 per hour
