OVERVIEW: The Treasury Intern will provide valuable support to the Treasury and Cash Accounting departments by assisting in day-to-day tasks and participating in special projects. This internship offers the opportunity to learn from senior finance leaders in a large, publicly traded company and gain practical experience in key areas such as money and banking, secured inventory financing, cash flow dynamics, interest expense/income, financial modeling, and public financial accounting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide assistance with daily cash accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Help reconcile Daily Cash Reports (DCRs) from retail locations to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in posting transactions from the ERP system to the General Ledger (GL).
- Help research incoming and outgoing wire transfers and resolve any discrepancies in the bank portal.
- Assist in filing and digitizing existing files for better organization and accessibility.
- Support daily operational needs of the Cash Application Department as required.
- Gain a foundational knowledge of Treasury initiatives and organizational goals.
- Assist in improving bank-related operations and providing comprehensive team support.
- Help with forecasting cash flow and liquidity, supporting metrics for a growing multinational organization.
- Support process and policy improvements across the Treasury department with a focus on risk management and control.

KEY RESULTS:
- Learn and understand the key initiatives within both Treasury and Cash departments, focusing on cash reconciliation and overall financial operations.
- Assist in compiling observations, conducting analyses, and offering recommendations for improvements in Treasury and Cash department initiatives.
- Support the Treasury department in maintaining multiple bank portals for better operational efficiency.
- Assist with daily and month-end cash reconciliation processes for retail stores, ensuring accuracy in the financial reports.
- Provide support to both Treasury and Cash departments on various ad-hoc needs and tasks that arise during the internship.
