EDUCATION
Graduate of accredited school of nuclear medicine technology
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one year’s experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Must be able to perform all diagnostic studies and procedures performed in the Nuclear Medicine departments of MarinHealth.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support Required at hire
Radiologic Health Nuclear Med Required at hire
Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) Required within 30 days of hire
PREREQUISITE SKILLS
1. Ability to perform all studies and procedures provided in the Nuclear Medicine Department according to applicable standards and protocol, ensuring patient safety
2. Demonstrated knowledge in all protocols for the handling and disposal of radioactive materials
3. Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The incumbent must demonstrate the knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and posses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in hospital and/or departmental policies and procedures
4. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills essential to ensure service excellence in patient care and intra- and interdepartmental relationships
5. Demonstrated ability to document clearly and correctly to ensure accurate patient records and other required documentation of work performed
6. Demonstrated knowledge of decontamination procedures to the extent that incumbent can responded appropriately and effectively in the event of a radiation accident
7. Demonstrated experience in implementing and following radiation safety procedures
