Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from blueprints and design plans to execute remodeling projects accurately.
- Perform construction estimating to assess project costs and resource requirements.
- Conduct construction inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Build and install structures, including framing, drywall, and cabinetry.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for specific tasks within the remodeling process.
- Execute frame carpentry tasks, ensuring precision in all measurements and cuts.
- Install glass fixtures and components as part of the remodeling process.
- Utilize welding techniques for metalwork where required in the project scope.
- Apply caulking and sealing materials to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal of finished projects.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout all phases of construction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in remodeling or related construction fields is preferred.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices is advantageous.
- Knowledge of construction inspection processes to ensure quality standards are met.
- Proficiency in carpentry, including frame carpentry techniques.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Ability to perform glass installation with precision and care.
- Welding skills are an asset but not mandatory for all candidates.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.
