Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial management of the organization. This position requires strong financial knowledge and the ability to perform comprehensive financial analysis while collaborating with various departments to enhance budgeting and forecasting processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the general ledger, ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts.
- Completion of month-end and year-end financial working papers and financial statement preparation.
- Conduct various account analyses and monthly reconciliations on key accounts, including cash, inventory, AR and AP, and on-going review of journal entries.
- Collaborate with the Controller in developing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy.
- Prepare detailed reports for management review, highlighting key financial metrics.
- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong understanding of financial management principles.
- Proficiency in general ledger reconciliation and financial analysis techniques.
- Experience with accounting software; proficiency in Microsoft word and Excel is essential.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
