Marion Ceramics is now accepting applications for a Distributor Sales Representative for its 12-state Northeast Region.
States: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont
Founded in 1885, Marion Ceramics is an industry-leading manufacturer of clay brick products including Thin Brick, Thin Brick Pavers, and Pool Coping. We are looking for a results-driven sales representative to actively seek out new business opportunities while also maintaining and growing relationships through sales and service activities with our long-standing existing customer base. The successful candidate must have the skills to professionally and effectively deliver appropriate solutions for customer needs in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Develop expert-level product knowledge in Marion's three product lines - Thin Brick, Thin Pavers and Pool Coping.
- Promote/educate customers on our complete product lines and capabilities through either in person meetings or via video conference
- Update customers on new product lines as they are introduced
- Work with customers on managing stocking programs where applicable
- Provide technical support for product and installation options
- Visit job sites for troubleshooting issues that may arise and expedite resolution
- Strengthen & grow existing customer relationships
- Work with distributor sales reps and architects to spec company products on large and small-scale projects
- Coordinate and conduct lunch & learn presentations throughout the region
- Provide feedback to Management of customer needs, market conditions, and competitive actions throughout the region
- Develop and present territory sales growth and strategies to Management
Requirements
Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the Building Materials industry calling on distributors
- BS/BA degree or equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
