Benefits- Starting at $16 per hour with a .50 cent per hour increase after successful completion of probationary period. Clerk employees are members of the Ohio Public Retirement System.
Hours- Monday- Friday 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, other duties that may be required and assigned-The Deputy Clerk reports directly to the Clerk of Courts or other staff as assigned.
Maintains files and Court Dockets for pending and finished cases. Files pleadings, issues notice, summons, warrants on complaints, subpoenas, etc. Receives monies and issues receipts. Greets visitors, answers telephone calls and assists Court users. Data entry and scanning into Court Case management system. Avoids errors in work causing inaccuracies in reports, records or technical data resulting in inaccurate or incomplete information. Interacts with the public and other agencies. All other duties assigned.
Qualifications-High school diploma or GED required with training or experience performing all types of clerical tasks. Paralegal certificate or three years’ experience in a legal office setting preferred. Must demonstrate ability to prepare and maintain accurate records. Skill in data entry and customer service or equivalent combinations of training and/ or experience. The ability to read and interpret documents, records accurately, communicate effectively, both written and orally. Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure. Should have knowledge of legal terminology, Court policies, and procedures of the Ohio Revised Code. Ability to handle sensitive/ confidential information. Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
