REPORTS TO : SUPERINTENDENT
POSITION SUMMARY : Serve as Senior Executive Director of Operations providing support and recommendations to the Superintendent in matters related to District Operations. This position supervises and manages Operations departments / areas, which include Custodial Services, Facilities, Technical Services (Maintenance), and Transportation. The Senior Executive Director of Operations will be responsible for supporting Marion County Public Schools in achieving its strategic plan goals and improving efficiencies in operational systems to improve student outcomes.

- Manifest a professional code of ethics and values at all times.
- Provide leadership and direction for District support operations to ensure alignment with the District's vision, beliefs, and strategic plan. Ensure goals outlined in the strategic plan are prioritized and measured.
- Direct, coordinate, and evaluate staff responsible for custodial services, facilities, technical services (maintenance), and transportation functions in accordance with District policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Assist department supervisors in resolving employee performance deficiencies.
- Identify, develop, and manage teams to implement operational improvements to ensure high organizational efficiency and effectiveness of the District's central office functions to improve student outcomes. Ensure ongoing maintenance and repair activities on District facilities and grounds comply with department standards of quality, priority, and budget.
- Facilitate close communication between assigned departments and schools to ensure cost efficiency and excellent services to all stakeholders. Develop and / or coordinate fiscally efficient programs within the assigned areas of responsibility.
- Oversee new construction projects to ensure they are in full compliance with School Board policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing policies and administrative guidelines to ensure the most efficient operations of the District.
- Advise the Superintendent on all areas of responsibility, recommending actions, and necessary policies and procedures to ensure efficient District operations.
- Provide and update procedures within assigned areas to comply with Board policy, state statutes, and federal law.
- Identify key performance indicators and refine the operations model using a data-driven approach to gauge impact, monitor performance metrics, and create efficiencies.
- Develop appropriate Board agenda items pertaining to areas of responsibility. Prepare and maintain all required reports.
- Keep abreast of and enforce compliance of District, state, and federal rules and statutes, new developments in the operation of systems, and allocation of resources to ensure maximum efficiency for operating expenditures.
- Serve as a team member of the superintendent's cabinet and participate in District-wide planning, development, and evaluation.
- Develop and maintain liaisons with municipalities, county departments, and similar entities to facilitate plan development and interagency collaboration.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : L-Light Work - Required to push, pull, or lift up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and / or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Indoors / Outdoors The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
Noise The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.

Salary : $116,063 - $131,378
