The Universal Consultant is the Member Ambassador for Maps Credit Union and fulfills the purpose of serving our members and delivering on Maps' Mission: Every member benefits from every interaction. The Universal Consultant will gain a thorough understanding of our members' needs through guided financial fitness conversations, all while upholding our CORE Values: Commitment, Character, Collaboration, Competence, and Composition.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain knowledge of products and services offered by Maps and our professional partners, and effectively communicate all available options to members. Confidently recommend appropriate products and services to match the members' needs.
- Establish, manage, and nurture meaningful relationships with consumer and business members to achieve long-term business goals.
- Apply business knowledge to navigate complex business structures and special accounts, capitalize on sales opportunities, and accurately establish accounts.
- Actively reach out to potential members through outbound sales calls, using both cold calling and warm calling techniques.
- Refer members to our professional partners as needed to provide a 360° member experience and deepen member relationships.
- Process regular transactions, such as receiving and paying out money. Keep records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions in an efficient, friendly, and accurate manner.
Qualified candidates will have the highest level of ethical behavior and an Associate degree in Business, Economics, Banking, or equivalent financial experience. A minimum of 2 years experience in customer service, including direct and indirect selling roles. A minimum of 2 years in the financial industry with progressive responsibility. Must be bondable.
Starting Non-exempt Pay Range: $27.00 - $30.63 per hour, depending on experience. Opportunities to earn monthly incentives.
Work Schedule is Monday - Friday during business hours. This position may require occasional Saturday shifts to assist with other branch locations as needed.
