Preschool Teacher – Spanish Immersion

Mariposa Bilingual School is a language immersion program that provides the full educational benefits of a traditional preschool for children aged 2 to 5 years old. Our tested and award-winning teaching system, combined with a large, modern facility, makes teaching as enjoyable for the teacher as it is for the students. By maintaining low teacher-to-student ratios, we ensure that teachers have the time to connect with each student and help them thrive.

Responsibilities:

• Create a positive and immersive bilingual classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.
• Foster strong relationships with students through effective communication
• Monitor and assess children's progress through informal assessments and observations to tailor instruction to individual needs.
• Provide guidance and support for toddlers, ensuring their emotional and physical needs are met throughout the day.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's development and classroom activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom setting conducive to learning.

Skills & Qualifications

• Must have: A minimum of 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development from an accredited institution.
• Experience working with children in an educational or caregiving capacity.
• Spanish-speaking required; English proficiency not necessary.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education and physical activities.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Position Details

• Salary: $26 per hour (commensurate with experience and education).
• Benefits: 33 weekdays of paid holidays and school breaks.
